WB ready to support Vietnam on its development path, says Carolyn Turk

(VOVWORLD) - World Bank Country Director for Vietnam Carolyn Turk said that on a foundation of 30 years of cooperation with Vietnam, the WB is ready to work with and support the country on its path to achieve its development goals, particularly in green transformation, digital transformation, innovation, high-tech, and human resource training.

Turk met Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Thursday to say goodbye at the end of her tenure in Hanoi.

Mr. Chinh congratulated and thanked the WB Country Director for her successful four-year term in Vietnam. He applauded the WB for providing practical support during Vietnam's renewal process over the past 30 years, and

proposed that the WB increase capital funding for Vietnam, focusing on key large-scale projects in green transformation, digital transformation, strategic transportation, climate change response, and other fields.

Prime Minister Chinh invited the WB President to visit Vietnam as soon as possible to develop a more substantial and effective partnership between the two sides.
