(VOVWORLD) -The Vietnamese specialty coffee awards were presented to companies at a ceremony on Sunday night in Buon Ma Thuot city, Dak Lak province. This year’s competition had 81 contestants from eight coffee growing provinces across the country.

The top 3 Robusta coffee awards went to Vietnam Organic Agriculture Food Company Limited (Lam Dong province); Phan Em Coffee (Dak Lak province); and The Esfresso Farm Joint Stock Company (Lam Dong province).
For Arabica coffee, the first prize was awarded to Pun Coffee Company Limited (Quang Tri province) and second prize went to Rung Forest - Rung Coffee Co., Ltd. (Kon Tum province).
Trinh Duc Minh, Chairman of Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Association and head of the contest organizing committee, said: “The next steps of the contest are auctions and commercial promotion in big cities. That will create value and draw more attention to specialty coffee from the market as well as consumers.”
