Royal embroidered Noren presented to Japan as VOV's gift

(VOVWORLD) - During a working visit to Kansai TV Station in Japan, VOV’s Vice President Ngo Minh Hien on Wednesday presented a royal dragon-embroidered noren curtain as a gift to the Ofunehoko Conservation Association of Kyoto.

The noren curtain is handmade by artisan Vu Van Gioi, who used Vietnam’s intricate embroidery techniques to create a golden-dragon pattern on red silk. It reflects similarities between the Vietnamese and Japanese time-honored culture. 

The curtain is not simply an embroidery product, but a way to preserve our cultural values, VOV Vice President Hien said.

He expressed his hope that exchanges between Vietnam and Japan through the Voice of Vietnam will become more diverse and contribute to the extensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
