From April 27 to April 30 Cu Lao Cham welcomed nearly 8,000 visitors who experienced scuba diving and enjoyed local seafood dishes.

Nguyen Van Lanh, Vice Chairman of Hoi An City People's Committee, said that efforts are being made to turn Hoi An into a national sea and island tourist area.

“The potential and strength of Hoi An is the connection between the sea and the island with many ecological values, biodiversity and especially cultural values. This place is planned as one of nine national island tourist areas. The city is trying hard to deliver provincial and central policies to maximize the potential and strengths of sea and island tourism,” Lanh said.
