​ Tay Ninh Court’s ruling on divorce case involving Wong Teck Lai, Vo Thi Kim Hoa

(VOVWORLD) - The Tay Ninh provincial People’s Court would like to inform Mr. Wong Teck Lai on the divorce case filed by Ms. Vo Thi Kim Hoa.

Malaysian citizen Wong Teck Lai was born in 1979. His most recent known address is No 39, Jalan Intan, 59 Taman 86000 Kluang Johor, Malaysia.

In the Decree of Divorce No. 24/2022/HNGĐ-ST dated March 29, 2022, the court’s judgments were stated as followed: 

Pursuant to: Article 147, 153, and 227 of the 2015 Civil Procedure Code; Article 56 of the 2014 Vietnamese Law on Marriage and Family; Resolution No. 326/2016/UBTVQH14 dated December 30, 2016 of the National Assembly Standing Committee, the Court decision was stated as follow:

1. Marital relationship: It is ordered and decreed by the Court that Mr. Wong Teck Lai and Ms. Vo Thi Kim Hoa are divorced and that the marriage between them is dissolved.   

2. Children: Mr. Wong Teck Lai shall continue to foster their daughter Wong Mei Lian, who was born on October 29, 2008. If disputes arise in the future relating to these matters, the parties involved are entitled to file another lawsuit as stipulated by law.

3. Shared assets and debts: There was no request for settlement.

4. Court fee: Ms. Vo Thi Kim Hoa has to pay 300,000 VND, which was already taken from a deposit court fee as described in Receipt No. 0001474 dated November 20, 2020 by the Tay Ninh Department of Civil Judgment Enforcement. Ms. Vo Thi Kim Hoa already paid.

5. Judicial entrustment fee: Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Lieu has to pay 3.200.000 VND, which was already taken from a deposit court fee as described in Receipt No. 0021358 dated December 17, 2020 of the Tay Ninh Department of Civil Judgment Enforcement. Ms. Vo Thi Kim Hoa already paid the amount.

6. Ms. Vo Thi Kim Hoa has already paid the notice posting fee of 2 million VND.

Ms. Vo Thi Kim Hoa has the right to file an appeal against the Court’s ruling within 15 days after the decision is announced. The duration for Mr. Wong Teck Lai to file an appeal against the Court’s ruling is 30 days after the decree is announced.
