(VOVWORLD) -A photo exhibition is opening at Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street in HCM City.

Taken from a photo book “Dien Bien Phu in the past and now”, almost 100 photos on display reflect strategic tactics and decisions of the Communist Party of Vietnam, President Ho Chi Minh, General Vo Nguyen Giap, and the Dien Bien Phu Campaign Command that led to the Dien Bien Phu Victory on May 7, 1954.
After being displayed at Ho Chi Minh City Book Street until May 8, these photos will be exhibited at the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association and to districts and military units.
On this occasion, a 300-page photo book published by the Tri Thuc Publishing House was introduced.

On Friday, a documentary film screening program to mark the Dien Bien Phu Victory opened in Hanoi by the National Documentary and Scientific Film Studio Company.
Six films will be screened free for the public during the five-day event, namely "Dien Bien Phu", “Memories of Dien Bien”, “Stories of old soldiers”, “On history journey”, “Sharing fire with Dien Bien”, and “Dien Bien Phu ignites hope”.
The films were shot during the fiercest years of the war against the French colonial invasion and during the national construction and development process.
The films are being screened at 465 Hoang Hoa Tham street in Hanoi’s Ba Dinh district.
