Exhibits held nationwide to commemorate 1954 Dien Bien Phu victory

(VOVWORLD) - Many exhibitions and displays are being held nationwide to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phụ victory held on May 5. 
Exhibits held nationwide to commemorate 1954 Dien Bien Phu victory - ảnh 1The “Historic Dien Bien Phu Victory – An epic of Ho Chi Minh era” exhibit opens on May 3, 2024, at the President Ho Chi Minh relic site in the Presidential Palace in Hanoi.

The Presidential Palace in Hanoi is displaying 130 photos highlighting the historical value of the Dien Bien Phu campaign and Vietnam’s correct resistance strategy. It also pays tribute to soldiers, frontline workers, young volunteers, and experts who contributed to the cause of national defense. The exhibit will run until the end of September.

70 paintings and sculptures featuring the Dien Bien Phu victory, Vietnam’s land and its people, its national construction and defense, and the great achievements of the renewal process are on display at 29 Hang Bai Street in Hanoi.

“This is a gift from the Vietnamese art community to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory. The public will revisit artists of the golden generation of the Indochina Fine Arts College such as Nguyen Tu Nghiem and Hoang Tich Chu and enjoy artworks produced in the 1980s,” Chairman of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association Luong Xuan Doan said.

Visitors to Hoan Kiem Lake in Hanoi will see the painting “Dien Bien Phu Campaign” presented in 3D technology through Sunday.

In Ho Chi Minh City, an exhibition titled “Dien Bien Phu Victory – Vietnam’s Strength, Stature of the Time” is taking place at Nguyen Hue pedestrian street, Dong Khoi Street, and Chi Lang Park until May 12.
