They include a Commemoration Ceremony for Hoang Sa Soldiers at the National Historical Site of An Vinh Communal House on April 24, Tu Linh traditional boat racing festival on April 28, and an exhibition of island cultural heritage at the Hoang Sa Flotilla Exhibition House from April 25 through May 1.

In addition, the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Ly Son District People’s Committee will organize the National Paragliding Championship, a National Balloon Award titled “Flying to Ly Son”, a Kite Flying Contest, and a swimming tournament.

Chairman of the People’s Committee of Ly Son District, Pham Thi Huong, said these activities aim to preserve and promote the unique traditional cultural and historical values of the island’s residents. This also presents an opportunity to promote tourism development, with the aim to build Ly Son into a national sea and island tourism center.
