According to the International Organization for Migration, Sudan has the highest number of refugees and immigrants living in Egypt, 4 million people, followed by Syria with 1.5 million people, Yemen with one million, and Libya with one million.

Those four countries combined account for 80% of the international migrants currently residing in Egypt. International estimates indicate that refugees and immigrants constitute approximately 8.7% of Egypt's total population.
