The US Navy has directed the USS Fitzgerald equipped with Aegis rockets to the Southwest coast of South Korea instead of returning to its station in Japan said an authority from the Pentagon. The US Navy is also moving a radar system called X-band to the waters near North Korea to observe Pyongyang’s military movements. The authority said that with this move, the US will have more options on defense if it is necessary. The same day, US Press Secretary Jay Carney, said that the US has not observed any big differences in the North Korean army, despite recent announcements from Pyongyang. Next week, John Kerry, US Secretary of Sate, will begin his first Asia visit since taking office. Kerry will visit South Korea, Japan and China to discuss the current crisis on the Korean Peninsula.
